Dakota Soil Sterilization, Inc. is a family owned company located in Minot, ND that was incorporated in 1990. After more than 30 years later we have been able to grow as the companies that we serve have grown.  We have achieved this growth not by adding employee upon employee, but by building long lasting client relationships, becoming more efficient as our clients grow year after year, and by being very involved in selecting a herbicide mix that is site specific and works.  As we have found out, clients who use our services to prevent rodent infestations, fire danger, snow pile up in the winter, and to present a clean image are usually companies and individuals that plan on being around for the long haul.  

 

We believe that the three most important factors that have allowed us to grow are using the best chemical practices available, having great employees, and our commitment to safety.  

 

• As a Bayer Pro Team Sprayer we are awarded a great deal of resources that can help us figure out any problems that occur as well as stop resistance issues before they start.  Sometimes there are issues/weeds that come up that require different chemicals as well and we will always use whatever is needed to best serve the customers needs at the best value to them.  In the past few years there have been several new herbicides that require much lower use rates, and have much less of a chance of moving or leeching.  We pride ourselves on doing our best to be good stewards of the environment by cutting down on waste and using proper chemicals.  

• We are fortunate to have employees that return each year so that our returning Certified Applicators are able to help train our new employees. 

• In the atmosphere of constant hustle, especially in Western North Dakota, safety can sometimes be overlooked.  We work to maintain our clean safety record and we appreciate working with clients who value safety as well.
